Welcome to Write in the City. I'm Sherri.
I have a 15 year medical background in Nursing and have credentials
in skin care maintenance and consulting.
I was a labor and delivery nurse for 10 years, and I'm also a Certified
Childbirth Instructor. I am currently trained in
the field of Medical Esthetic Nurse Specialist, which is a specialty in skin care that is quickly becoming
a medical entity of it's own. Basically, it's an exquisite way of saying....I inject Botox into people's faces.
To confuse you even further.... I work full time at a defense law firm as a Legal Nurse Consultant.
I have an absolute passion for writing. I have always aspired to become a pulished fiction
author, and hope to attain that goal in the near future. I also daydream about being a columnist for a high profile magazine.
I haven't had anyone beating down my door with any offers lately, so I gathered a few of my girlfriends and created our
own ezine. Hey, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!
I love to read. I think reading and writing are a marriage. And as with any marriage,
it's all about nurturing and compromise. I also love to garden and travel when time permits and finances allow.
I have two beautiful children, a son and daughter, ages 20 and 14 respectively. What's that you say? I don't look old enough
to have children that age?....my secret's at the end of this spiel.
I love hanging out with my family members, and I'm not afraid to say I'm married to my best
freind :)
Now here's that secret I promised you......

Meet Jane

Hi everyone. I'm JaneEllen, (Ellen is my middle name) aka AnnieHall (I dress very Diane Keatonish) aka jr
(my initials) aka Jane (my first name). That reminds me of a character called Raymond Johnson. His schtick was….you
can call me Ray, or you can call me RayJay, or you can call me JayRay, but ya doesn't have to call me Johnson. So, call me
whatever you like.
I was honored when Sherri invited me to contribute to Write In The City. I'm not a professional
writer, by any means. Truthfully, I never imagined that I would enjoy writing. I was more interested in art, dancing, and
acting. I was never a reader, eventhough my parents were both English teachers. But, over the years (no, I am not that old)
I've encountered a myriad (myriad???.I never use that word…who am I trying to impress) of experiences , as we all have.
The loss of loved ones, illness, love, disappointments, achievements and times of great happiness. My mind is filled with
memories, emotions and thoughts. And, I've found that the best way to release these emotions is through writing. I write as
the thoughts come to me. I write it as I see it and as I feel it. I have a silly, offbeat sense of humor, so be prepared.
I
look forward to interacting with all of you. This is going to be a fascinating ride. I have a link to this terrific site on
my profile page, so I encourage all of my friends to join in the fun.
WELCOME TO WRITE IN THE CITY! ♥ jane

Hi! I’m Tosha, but you can also call me Tara. Let’s see… Where to begin?
Ok,for as long as I can remember, I have loved to read. I’ll read any book I can get my hands on.. I have even been
known to re-read old college textbooks, which, I guess, gives me official "geek" status. My passion for books has also developed
into a love for writing. I’m a free-lance writer for my local paper and several online magazines, writing about life’s
little oddities. Every page that my pen touches is redolent of my thoughts, my emotions.
Most people enjoy my company
and are curious about my latest notion of how to count backwards by threes. There's definitely a side of me that pushes people's
limits, so I'm always thrilled when someone's sharp enough to call me on it or splashes back mercilessly in a water fight.
I am a woman of strong character...a foul-weather friend. My laughter is contagious and I choose to be optimistic when I am
not busy being pessimistic . I love people and I am relational to the core. As a genuine, compassionate person, my emotions
run close to the surface and I wear my heart on my sleeve to my chagrin at times.

I'm a published author, YESSS!!! My dream come true. So far I've had 13 books published, and 13 happens
to be my lucky number! I haven't self-published so far, and I love to motivate other aspiring writers and artists to achieve
their goals. Determination is definitely my middle name.
I´m half-Spanish and half-American, and have all kinds of blood in me, from British to Hungarian! I´m also
bilingual and fluent in Spanish and English.
I´ve worked at an advertising agency, as a professional interpreter and translator (I still translate books),
and when I was 29 I was Cindy Crawford´s interpreter when she was on tour in Spain. Just a little anecdote that has definitely
not helped my career in any way whatsoever! I was also a fitness instructor and I am going back to personal training in the
near future. I´m passionate about dancing, writing and my kids.
I´m the mom of a mini-me and a redhead, who go to preschool and 1st grade. I´m old enough to have kids in
their twenties, but I don´t! And I intend to keep on looking and feeling young until the day I die at 100 years old!
If you click on my picture you can see my webpage and links to Myspace and blogs and every little nook and
cranny in the Internet where I´ve left my mark!
I love to be a woman and I love to share my crazy humor with my friends here at Write In the City and with
YOU!
